IMPLEMENTATION OF ALHOSN GREEN PASS SYSTEM

Effective 20 August 2021, all guests aged 16 years and above, visiting The Galleria Al Maryah Island, will be required to provide proof of full vaccination status using the ‘ALHOSN GREEN PASS’ system in line with Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee regulations. Additionally, guests will also be EDE scanned prior to entry as an enhanced health and safety measure. Under 16 years of age and those with vaccination exemption status will be required to abide by the necessary PCR testing requirements as detailed by the Authorities.

UPDATE ON MALL ENTRY RULES

Following the latest updates from the Abu Dhabi authorities, and in the interest of prioritising the health and safety of our guests and colleagues, The Galleria Al Maryah Island requires visitors to undergo EDE scanning to enter. This requirement is in effect starting June 28, 2021.

In the event the EDE scan indicates a potential COVID-19 case, the individual will be not be permitted to the mall and must take a PCR test within 24 hours as per government protocol.

Note that this additional screening does not replace the current precautionary measures in place at the park, including thermal scanning, mandatory mask wearing and social distancing.

CONTACTLESS WAYFINDING

Finding your favourite store is now easier and safer than ever with The Galleria’s contactless wayfinding. A first for Abu Dhabi, all you need to do is scan the QR Code found at any of our mall directory touch screens, sync the app with your mobile, and you’ll get real-time directions for any store in the mall. Enjoy your safe shopping experience!


GO SAFE CERTIFICATION

The Galleria is ‘Go Safe’ certified by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development and Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism. This certificate demonstrates our constant commitment to providing a safe shopping environment for the community.

COVID-19 VACCINATION BOOTH AND TESTING FACILITIES

An onsite COVID-19 vaccination booth operated by Mubadala Health is open to the public at The Galleria Al Maryah Island for both citizens and residents over 16 years old. Visit

  • Waitrose 8am - 11pm daily

What’s Open:

  • Entertainment facilities: VOX Cinemas, Xtreme Zone, Caboodle and Droplets By Caboodle
  • Sky Park, Family Park and Sports Park are all open. Visitors must adhere to all precautionary measures to protect the health and safety of the community, including a maximum of 4 persons per group, maintaining physical distancing and wearing masks.

WELLNESS AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

The Wellness Ambassador program is a new Al Maryah Island initiative which focuses on protecting the health and wellbeing of our guests. At The Galleria, the Wellness Ambassadors will play an important role in enhancing customer experience whilst maintaining safety measures at all times.

  • The Wellness Ambassadors are trained with specialised occupational health and wellness practices to ensure the safety of the community.
  • This training involves the implementation of specific hygiene policies, ensuring social distancing measures and preventive medical knowledge about the virus.
  • The Wellness Ambassadors will support guests in staying safe by maintaining health guidelines at The Galleria to ensure a safe and comfortable shopping experience.

Cleaning

  • A strict cleaning and sanitisation programme has been put in place, and the frequency and length of cleaning have been increased.
  • Extra attention is paid to key touchpoints such as handrails, lifts and toilet facilities.
  • All cleaning products are disinfection agents and are EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) approved.

Thermal Scanners

  • Thermal scanners are installed at each mall entry point, requiring all guests to be temperature checked before entry.
  • Any guest with a temperature exceeding 38 degrees will not be able to enter the mall.

Hand Sanitisers

  • Hand sanitisers have been installed throughout the mall for guests to use freely.

Mask

  • Guests are required to wear a mask when visiting the mall. Please come prepared.
    (Children 3 years old and under are not required to wear a face mask)

Social Distancing

  • Social distancing measures are in place throughout The Galleria. Please see detailed information below.

Entry & Exit

  • All mall entry and exit points are now separated.
  • All guests will need to be thermally scanned upon entry.

Toilet Facilities

  • Alternating toilet cubicles will be non-operational for guest safety. In addition, alternating wash basins will be turned off to maintain social distancing.

Staff Training & Awareness

  • The Galleria’s security, guest services and housekeeping teams have been thoroughly trained on safety and cleaning guidelines, which includes the handling of any guest suspected of coronavirus.
  • Dedicated mall ambassadors will be roaming the mall to further assist guests and ensure social distancing guidelines are followed.

Car Parking & Services

  • Valet parking services are available.
  • Approved vehicle disinfection service providers are permitted in defined areas only.

Social Distancing

  • Guests must keep at least 2 metres apart from one another.
  • Large gatherings and groups will be asked to separate to maintain social distancing.
  • Signage and floor markings have been placed throughout the mall as a reminder.
  • The Galleria will keep a maximum total occupancy of 80% and access will temporarily be restricted for a short period of time if capacity is reached.
  • Individual stores will also enforce a maximum capacity limit.

Dining

  • Seating within food courts and in restaurants has been adjusted so tables are at least 2.5 metres apart.
  • There is a maximum of 10 guests per table. However, members of the same family are allowed to sit at the same table without limit.
  • Maximum total occupancy within restaurants and food courts is 80%.

Use of Lifts

  • Maximum capacity of 2 guests per lift.

Car Parking & Services

  • Valet services are available.

The Galleria is working closely with retailers to ensure the highest level of safety for guests that are shopping or dining:

  • All store staff are required to take daily temperature checks prior to mall entry, and monitor themselves throughout the day.
  • Mask and gloves are also mandatory for all store staff.
  • Stores and restaurants are cleaned daily and frequently throughout the day.
    • Tables and seats are sanitised after each use.
    • Single-use cutlery and take-away packaging must be used, unless a high temperature dishwasher is used to sanitise cutlery.
  • Hand sanitisers are available at all store counters.
  • Limit the number of guests in any store at a given time to ensure social distancing.
  • Encourage the use of cashless transactions.
  • Refunds and exchanges will be permitted on purchased items subject to the following conditions:
    • Must not be available for re-sale for 48 hours after return/exchange;
    • Must be thoroughly disinfected before being made available for re-sale.
  • Restriction of product testing, including cosmetics. No self-service trying of shoes or perfumes.
  • Salons are limited to hair and nail services only and must be made by pre-appointment. There are no waiting areas inside.
