A day in the life of Hassan Ghoneim starts in the gym. Before the stylish Saudi Arabian arrives at his VIP dental clinic in Riyadh, he’s hitting the weights to work on his six-pack.
But even in the gym, as in every other area of his life, Ghoneim insists on being well-dressed. “I go to the gym first thing in the morning so I wear something comfortable obviously, but I still want to look good and stylish at the same time,” he explains. Hassan works out seven days a week to keep himself in the best shape possible. “I do an ab workout every day, plus one other different muscle alongside that – that’s how I get my six-pack”.
Despite putting some serious hours into his abdominals, Ghoneim keeps them hidden under menswear of the highest calibre, labels such as Tom Ford for instance.
“I only wear Tom Ford suits and blazers, shirts and formal trousers,” says Ghoneim enthusiastically. “It’s a brand that is everything a gentleman would ever want to wear. It’s classy, stylish and to the point. You can never go wrong with Tom Ford.”
As well as menswear from Ford, Hassan has a fondness for v-neck t-shirts from Dolce & Gabbana and denim shirts from Saint Laurent. He also has little-known Japanese brands in his wardrobe plus a wide range of coloured sneakers from Gucci and Dior.

Although he’s up to date on all the latest menswear news and styles, you won’t find Ghoneim chasing the latest talked-about trend. “I don’t follow fashion or the latest looks,” he insists. “I only ever wear things that look good. If it doesn’t look good on me I don’t wear it. If it looks good I wear it – simple as that.”
Finding accessories that will complement such sought after menswear brands is a tall order, but Ghoneim has some pretty powerful assets he can rely on.
On his wrist are watches from the likes of Patek Philippe and Jaeger-LeCoultre, which must be a welcome, albeit shiny distraction for his patients in the dentist chair.
“The Patek Nautilus Rose Gold is my favourite watch,” smiles Hassan, clearly a connoisseur of horology, who attended the recent edition of Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, in Geneva. “My favourite piece from Jaeger-LeCoultre is the Master Grande Tradition Grande Complication. I like watches with complex movements and technical details, but I’m also a huge fan of the way they look.”
Like many watch fans, it’s Patek’s heritage that lures Ghoneim to the brand that started back in 1839. “The history of Patek Philippe is so great. As they say, you don’t own a Patek, you simply transfer it from one generation to another. And I like how the price of a Patek increases with time too."
