Bon Appétit

From confectioneries to quick bites and fine dining venues, The Galleria has 28 dining options and a combined total of 14 at the Four Seasons Hotel at Al Maryah Island and the Rosewood Abu Dhabi

Executive Chef Francesco guarracino is the italian chef delivering roberto’s fun array of authentic dishes, to which he adds his own sense of la dolce vita - and that’s how you get dishes as varied as wagyu beef with matcha tea and slow- roasted octopus served with pecorino cheese, milk and black pepper. For dessert, dig into ciocco colato, 72 per cent cocoa chocolate foam with hazelnut snow. 02 627 9009; Location: Level 1

99Sushi Bar & Restaurant

99Sushi Bar & Restaurant is unlike other Japanese venues — instead of a focus on a particular chef or chic decor, its ethos is to show respect for Japanese culinary techniques and ingredients. Some standout dishes are the crispy tiger shrimp tempura, Wagyu beef tartare seasoned with sesame and chili oil and accompanied with a seaweed loaf, and the Sujime-style seabass sealed in olive oil at high temperature. The Usuzukuri of Mújol with emulsion of aubergine and kizami and the bull sashimi also stand out from the crowd. 99Sushi opens this fall in The Galleria, with September 2018 seeing the opening of an outlet in Dominican Republic and another in NYC. The following year will be London, Rabat and Morocco.

While Zuma has been a popular part of the Dubai scene for a while now it seems it’s just as sort-after in Abu Dhabi since joining The Galleria’s lively dining scene of well-known and popular venues. Each Zuma venue is planned by chef Rainer Beck and restaurateur Arjun Waney, with each head chef trained in cooking methods by Rainer himself. Like many Japanese restaurants, Zuma is known for its black cod, as well as amazing beverages. The “Ebisu” business lunch menu is available Sundays to Thursdays from 12pm-2pm. At Dhs140 per person, it offers a choice of miso soup, two starters and one main course. 02 401 5900, Location: South Pavillion
