Pop star Liam Payne collaborates with Hugo Boss on a cutting edge streetwear collection.

Inevitably for a worldwide pop icon, fashion and image are everyday topics of conversation. But for Liam Payne they have combined into a passion. With his days in One Direction now in the past and a solo musical career on the rise, Payne is getting more and more involved in the world of style and is relishing this new art form.

The Brit singer has pursued this interest by not only becoming a global ambassador for Hugo Boss, but also by designing a capsule collection of streetwear for the German brand.

“I knew if I wanted to do something in fashion it should be with Hugo,” says Payne. “They design clothes that guys like me want to wear. Fashion started out as a hobby for me, but I’m loving being part of the creative process.”

The 10-piece Hugo x Liam Payne collection of clothing, footwear and accessories was unveiled at Berlin Fashion Week with a party that included a live performance from the singer. Despite being a Fall/Winter collection, the range is available now in store and features references to Payne’s first tattoo of black chevrons on his right forearm. He says the collection takes you “from the plane to the festival in style.”

Brand and creative director for Hugo Boss, Peter Deirowski said, “This type of creative partnership is something we’ve never done before” and added, “Laim’s not only a very talented musician, he’s also got great style.”
